I've been bringing people together for as long as I can remember. I'm the person friends call when they need a song recommendation, an intro to someone, or to just talk to someone who gets it. Random fun fact: the party favors at my sweet 16 were mixed CDs I burned on Limewire. Even way back then, I just wanted to share good music with my community.
Fast forward to present day: I’ve found ways to channel that energy more intentionally: DJing, hosting vinyl listening events, and helping brands figure out who they are and how to show up. The motive is the same through all of this: bringing people together around something that matters.
Open Invitation is my hub for all of it. Strategic work for brands, cultural programming for community, and some music in between.
Here's The Thing
When I started DJing, I learned quickly that curation isn't neutral. Every track you play is either building toward something or killing the vibe. You have to read the room, trust your taste, and see it through. Strategy is the exact same thing to me. You're still building toward a feeling, just in a different context.
That's what ties everything together for me. The brand work, the events, the newsletter. They're all about curating something intentional and trusting it'll connect.
